Lagos Branch Members Applaud Gloria Egeonu’s Hangout Party
It is easy to get caught up in the day-to-day noise of deadlines, meetings, and corporate notifications. But no matter how busy we are as individuals or organisation, we must make time to celebrate our people, milestones and achievements.
So, this is the Gloria Egeonu’s Hangout party as she has decided to focus on Celebrating Our Successes, Professionals and Profession.
Gloria said at the Hangout few days ago, “I believe that celebrating our people and professional accomplishments has the potential to promote future successes as we move towards the end of the outgoing executives and embark on the new Fit-In for the Future journey of the Bar at the beginning of August 2019.
When you think of the Great Social Events and Gatherings of members of the Premier Bar, what comes to mind? I am sure ‘Wig & Gown’ will not be your first thought. Well, our very own, Gloria Egeonu has designed fantastic entertainment ideas, which could be a stress therapy for lawyers. What do I mean? What did she do? Social activities and perseverance all wrapped up in a desire to help others.
It is our hope that every feature you will experience in this Social Secretary (Gloria Egeonu) will inspire and encourage you. Yes, we still have a long way to travel on our Fit for the Future journey but we are making good progress and we must remember to celebrate ourselves from time to time. That was what this Hangout was all about!
Some of the faces at the Hangout despite the heavy rain on the evening were the Premier Bar Chairman, Chukwuka Ikwuazom, treasurer of the branch, Joy Nzube, two of the chairmanship candidates, Adebola Lema and Yemi Akangbe, many members of the NBA Lagos Branch and other branches, and friends of Egeonu.
It was an evening of fun, some kind of get-to-know-who are the candidates, reconnection and making new friends. There was a lot to eat and drink. It’s was an evening to remember.
