The board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Dederi, announced the date for the commencement of the exercise in a statement on Saturday.
According to the statement, the DG announced the commencement date for the exercise while supervising activities at the Hajj Training Centre in Gwarzo Local Government Area on Saturday.
“The Director General of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, announced the commencement date for medical screening and immunisation of all intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
“He stated that the exercise will begin on Monday, 9th February 2026, and will take place at the Pilgrims Camp Clinic (Hajj Camp), Kano,” Dederi said.
He said the DG who was represented by the Director of Propagation, Education and Enlightenment, Alhaji Murtala Lawan Sani, emphasised that strict compliance with all rules and regulations of the Board would ensure a smooth and successful Hajj operation.
He explained that the exercise will include comprehensive medical screening, routine immunisation, and pregnancy tests for female pilgrims.
Speaking on the Hajj Induction Course, the Director General urged pilgrims to be attentive and dedicated to their instructors in order to properly understand how to perform the Hajj rites while in the Holy Land.
