Kaduna: Gov Sani receives 183 rescued Kurmin Wali abductees

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, has received the 183 kidnapped returnees who were rescued after 19 days in captivity.

The governor, while receiving them on Thursday promised them that the state government is fully committed to their safety, rehabilitation and long-term security of their community.

Governor Sani disclosed that the returned abductees were rescued on Wednesday through the combined efforts of security agencies.

According to him, the returnees would be provided with temporary accommodation within the state, where they would undergo comprehensive medical and psychological care before returning to their community.

The governor assured that the government would support their livelihoods, especially through assistance for small businesses, to help them rebuild their lives.

He maintained that his administration would continue to work with relevant stakeholders, community leaders, religious bodies and security agencies to ensure lasting peace in Tudun Wali and Kaduna State at large.
