The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed that it has no fewer than 11 suspects in custody, who are allegedly involved in the killing of Arise News staff, Somtochukwu Maduagwu a few months ago.

The Commissioner of Police in charge of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Miller Dantawaye, made this disclosure during an interview on Wednesday on Arise Television monitored by DAILY POST.

Recall that Maduagwu was killed during an armed robbery attack at her residence in Katampe, Abuja in September.

“As soon as I got here as FCT Commissioner of Police, one of the things I did was to try and find out the level investigation had got into.

“And I want to assure you that, to the glory of God, as at of today, at least 11 suspects are in custody.

“The charge sheets as of today are ready. I got that brief before I came here knowing that I was coming here.

“And arraignments will be done within the nearest possible time, most likely immediately after the new year,” he said.
