The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Benue State, Benjamin Omale, has lauded the National Working Committee of the ruling party under the leadership of the National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, over the transition of members’ registration to digital.

Omale described the digital membership drive as central to the party’s strategy for victory in the 2027 general elections.

The ruling party in the state had on Friday begun training for its e-registration exercise.

The event had in attendance the party chairman, Omale; the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Berger Alfred, who declared the exercise open; and several party leaders and aides to the governor, Hyacinth Alia.

Omale, in a press release personally signed and made available to journalists in Makurdi on Saturday, appreciated the state governor, Hyacinth Alia, for providing an enabling environment for him and members of the state executive committee to operate.

Omale said, “The transition of members’ registration to an electronic register is a way to strengthen internal structures and improve electoral readiness,” adding that outstanding performance by officials involved in the exercise would be adequately recognised and rewarded.

He added, “At this juncture, let me appreciate the National Working Committee of our party under the leadership of the National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, over the transition of members’ registration to digital.”

The state party chairman also expressed profound appreciation to Governor Hyacinth Alia for graciously sponsoring the e-registration training exercise.

He described the governor’s support as a demonstration of his commitment to strengthening the APC and deepening internal democratic processes in the state.

He also commended the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, saying that the present administration is striving to make life bearable for Nigerian citizens.

Omale promised that the party in the state would give adequate support to anyone or group that supports the re-election of both President Bola Tinubu and the governor.

The All Progressives Congress in 2024 officially launched a nationwide digital membership registration exercise to create a comprehensive, verifiable, and up-to-date database of its members.

The initiative aims to transition the party from an analogue system to a modern, digitally driven organisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
