Forget South-East votes in 2027 if Kanu stays in jail — Cubana Chief Priest to Tinubu

Socialite, Cubana Chief Priest, has issued a stern warning to President Bola Tinubu over the conviction and sentencing of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

He cautioned that the 2027 election could pose a significant challenge for the President in the South-East if Kanu is not released.

Cubana Chief Priest made the statement shortly after the Federal High Court in Abuja delivered its judgment on Kanu’s case, sentencing the IPOB leader to life imprisonment.

According to him, the political atmosphere in the region has grown increasingly tense and is largely shaped by Kanu’s situation.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the businessman expressed anger, claiming that resentment in the South-East is deepening and that support for the President is already dwindling.

“President @officialasiwajubat As long as MNK remains in jail you cannot & will never get up to 10,000 votes in South-East come 2027… Only MNK release can save you,” he wrote.

Cubana Chief Priest also criticized South-East ministers, accusing them of failing to convey the true feelings of the people to the President.

He claimed that none of them holds the political influence necessary to regain public trust.

He further directed his warning to Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, urging him to intervene and advocate for Kanu’s release.

According to him, the governor’s accomplishments risk being overshadowed if the matter is not addressed.

“To My Father @he_hopeuzodimma… Appeal This Judgement & Get It Right Or Get Ready To Check Out Of The Villa Come 2027… Southeast Belongs To MNK,” he added.
