Governor Umar Namadi has confirmed the appointment of Dr. Saifullahi Umar as the pioneer Director General of the newly inaugurated Jigawa State Agricultural Transformation Agency (JATA) with immediate effect.
This was contained in a statement from the Secretary to the state government Malam Bala Ibrahim.
Dr. Umar, who previously served as the Governor’s Technical Adviser on Agriculture, is an expert in applied economics with over 15 years of experience in teaching, research, and administration, specializing in agricultural economics.
