It is with great humility and a deep sense of responsibility that I announce my successful submission of the nomination form on 9th April 2025 at approximately 2:00 p.m., to contest for the position of Treasurer, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lagos Branch in the forthcoming election scheduled for 30th June 2025.
As an active and committed member of the NBA Lagos Branch, I have had the honour of serving on several pivotal committees, including the Law Week, Human Rights, Continuing Legal Education, and Welfare Committees.
Presently, I serve on the Welfare Committee, and I am also privileged to serve as Sub-Chair of the Police Duty Solicitor Scheme (PDSS) under the Human Rights Committee. In this role, we conduct routine visits to police stations, in line with Force Order 20 and directives from the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, to safeguard against unlawful detentions and to uphold constitutional rights.
Heeding the call to service, I am offering myself as a candidate for the office of Treasurer of our noble Branch. I pledge to bring to bear my talent, accounting acumen, and leadership experience in discharging the duties of this office with transparency, integrity, and commitment to the collective advancement of the NBA Lagos Branch and the legal profession at large.
