Three armed men arraigned over felony charges in Ekiti

The Police in Ekiti State have arraigned three persons, Agbadaola Seun, 43, Ojurongbe Daramola, 40, and Adedara Sunday, 70, at the Chief Magistrate court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over an alleged felony to wit threatening violence.

The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that on March 15 at about 5:00pm at Ilawe-Ekiti that the defendants did threaten violence with gun against High Chief Ajibade Olubunmi.

Inspector Oriyomi added that the defendants on same date, time and place, did conspire together to commit offence to wit conduct likely.

The prosecutor said the offence committed is punishable under Section 421, 69(a), 181(1)(d), of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.

Counsel to the defendants, Olumide Olowolafe, urged the court to grant his client bail, saying they will not jump bail.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Abayomi Adeosun, granted bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety each in like sum and adjourned the case till May 9, 2025.
