Draws conducted for Female League.
The inaugral football competition entered Week 2 with exciting matches. The Astro Turf Pitch of RiverBank School went agog and witnessed masterclass football.
In Group A, Grey FC bounced back from their Week 1 loss by beating NBA Young Boys with 3 unreplied goals. Shield United FC and Unilawrin Alumni FC played goalless. Against expectation, Nexus FC upset TASAFRICA FC with a lone goal.
In Group B, CLG All Stars continued their impressive run by beating Falana and Falana by 4 unreplied goals. Unilawrin Alumni United beat Legal FC by two unreplied goals, while Gavales FC defeated Welfare FC by a lone goal.
Week 3 promises to be exciting with top of the table clash in Group A between Shield United FC and Grey FC. TASAFRICA FC will look to bounce back from their setback against Unilawrin Alumni FC while CLG All Stars will seek to continue to their impressive form against Legal FC
During Week 2, the draw for the Female League was conducted. The draws were conducted by Mrs Oyinkansola Badejo-Okunsanya and assisted by the branch chairman, Mr Olabisi Makanjuola, and Mrs Uchenna Akingbade Eko Strikers FC, captained by Constance Awoegbe, was drawn as Team 1. FC Phoenix, captained by Acharu Blessing, was drawn as Team 2. NBA Ikeja Ladiies was drawn as Team 3. All Stars FC, captained by Oluwatobi Adeyemi, was drawn as Team 4.
The female league will commence on March 9, 2025, with an opening match between Eko Strikers and FC Phoenix. Thereafter, NBA Ikeja Ladies will take on All Stars FC.
