Health worker arrested for allegedly treating bandits in Katsina

In a successful operation against bandits, security officials in Katsina State have arrested a health worker who had been providing medical treatment to bandits, including Usman Modi, a notorious bandit commander with a ₦50 million bounty on his head.
The health worker, named Lawan Ado, from Safana Local Government Area, was apprehended following intelligence reports revealing that he had been treating bandits.

In a video that circulated online, shared by Zagazola Makama, Lawan Ado confirmed that he had been treating the bandits at their hideouts.

According to Ado, the first bandit he treated was Usman Modi, who had been injured in a clash with the Yan Kyanbara vigilante group.

They initially took him to Tsakiya Hospital, but after two days, they brought him to my place for treatment. I was paid ₦18,000 for my services,” he said.

Ado also mentioned that he had treated other major bandits, including a bandit named Mai Kudi, who paid him ₦8,000 after being shot in Kurfi, along with Audu, an associate of Usman Modi, who also paid him ₦8,000
