A Grade A Customary Court in Ibadan on Tuesday punished a 27 year-old man, Taiwo Ajala, for urinating in a public place.

Ajala was punished after he was caught urinating within the premises of the court.

The Court’s President, Mrs. S.M. Akintayo, punished Ajala by asking him to kneel down, face the wall, raise up his two hands and close his eyes for polluting the environment

The president of the court subsequently ordered the police to arraign Ajala as an offender.

Ajala started crying and pleaded for leniency.

“Please, forgive me, I did not know that it is an offense to urinate in a public place,” he pleaded.

Akintayo subsequently pardoned Ajala, and advised him to desist from such acts
