Obi Linda Chiamaka, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, has fallen victim to a horrific kidnapping after completing her service year in Kebbi State. Having proudly finished her NYSC program, she set out to return home to her family in Imo State, eager to share the news of her successful completion. However, her journey was tragically interrupted.
In a statement made available to NEWSWIRE LawEvents, Chiamaka was traveling through Niger State when she was abducted by ruthless kidnappers. Now, two weeks have passed, and she remains in the hands of her captors, enduring unimaginable torment.
Chiamaka is from Awo-Idemili, a community in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State. Her parents, devastated and desperate, have received ransom demands from the kidnappers. However, raising the money is proving nearly impossible for her family, who are struggling to cope with the financial burden.
This is where we need to come together. The authorities, including the NYSC, the Police, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the general public, must unite in the search for Chiamaka. We cannot allow a young woman, who has just completed her service to the nation, to suffer further at the hands of these criminals.
We urge everyone to support efforts to locate Chiamaka and bring her home safely. No one should face such fear and suffering, especially not after dedicating a year to serving the country.

Let’s work together to ensure Chiamaka’s safe return. If you have any information or can assist in any way, please do not hesitate to come forward.
God bless.
