The Sokoto State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of two persons by armed men suspected to be terrorists that attacked Yabo town, the headquarters of Yabo Local Government Area of the state.
The command’s spokesman, ASP Ahmad Rufai, confirmed the attack on Thursday.
He said two persons, Mallam Abubakar Umar Yabo and Malam Abba Muhammad, were abducted in their separate homes by the assailant.
According to him, “The bandits attempted to attack another resident when the owner of the house alerted the police whose intervention disrupted the initial plan of the kidnappers.
“The two abducted persons left their homes open and the bandits after an exchange of fire with the police abducted the victims in their home.”
