In a heartwarming gesture of support and solidarity, the NBA National Welfare Committee, led by Chief Emeka Ozoani, SAN, alongside members Peter Ayogu and Leuda Zor- Akekue recently paid a courtesy visit to Mrs. Alison, a lawyer from the Port Harcourt branch who has been incapacitated for three years due to severe health issues.
Mrs. Alison, an esteemed member of the Nigerian Bar, has been confined to a wheelchair, unable to practice law due to her debilitating condition. The committee’s visit aimed to offer not just financial assistance, but also moral support and encouragement to a fellow colleague in her time of need.
During the visit, Chief Emeka Ozoani, SAN, expressed heartfelt prayers for Mrs. Alison’s speedy recovery, hoping she could soon return to her legal practice. The committee also made a generous cash donation of N500,000 to assist with her medical expenses, demonstrating their commitment to the welfare of their members.
Mrs. Alison expressed her profound gratitude to the Welfare Committee and the president of the NBA for their thoughtfulness and support. She noted that the visit and the assistance provided were truly touching and greatly appreciated.
