Human rights lawyer, Inibehe Efffiong, has taken a swipe at the Senior Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye for the prayers he has offered the nation over the years.
Inibehe was reacting to a news headline quoting Adeboye as saying that ‘’There shall be a new Nigeria.”
In a series of Tweets, Inibehe asked what positive impact Adeboye’s prayers has had on Nigeria.
He stated that after Adeboye declared prayers 7 years ago, Nigeria became worse because of the horrible economic policies made by the Buhari led administration.
He argued that instead of telling ‘‘corrupt politicians and election riggers the truth like prophets of old, Adeboye legitimizes their fraud with the toga of religion.”
