The Lagos chapter of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) is set to hold this year’s edition of its annual Law Week from November 2 to November 3, 2023.
In a press statement made available to NEWSWIRE Law & Events Magazine, the body revealed that the Law Week will feature programmes to enhance professional and intellectual growth, as well as create a positive impact within the community.
November 2, according to the statement, will see FIDA members pay a solidarity visit to the FIDA Children’s Ward E4 at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) at Idi-Araba, during which they will make donations to uplift the spirits of the young patients and bring smiles to their faces.
One of the highlights of the Law Week will be the adoption of a school in Makoko, Yaba by FIDA Lagos as a demonstration of its commitment to education and the betterment of the lives of young learners.
The grand finale on November 3, will feature the FIDA Lagos Law Week Dinner and Presentation of Awards. This event will not only celebrate the legal profession and its leading lights, but also serve as an opportunity to express gratitude to all those who supported FIDA Lagos in its endeavors.
The statement also expresses FIDA Lagos’ heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed financially to make the Law Week a resounding success, adding that this financial support will be pivotal in sponsoring various projects and activities aimed at furthering the organization’s cause towards creating a better society.
