The “Three in One Celebration” of Dele Adesina LP
The Law Firm of DELE ADESINA LP celebrates Three (3) dimensional events on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Shell Hall Muson Center, Onikan, Lagos. The event according to the law firm is to mark 35 years post call of Mr. Dele Adesina SAN, the 25 years of the law firm and 10 years of the conferment of Mr Dele Adesina with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
To mark these great events, the Chambers is organising an inaugural lecture on the theme Building a Successful Legal Career/Practise: DROP THE HOOK: DO NOT BE AFRAID. The objective of this lecture is to build hope in the young and vibrant Legal Practitioners who we recognize are the future leaders of the profession. Although the future appear uncertain and challenging in view of the present economic and other conditions, that, they can still make it in the profession.
Professor Konyinsola Ajayi SAN, a very outstanding practitioner of repute and high integrity has graciously accepted to present the lead paper on the theme. Other erudite and accomplished Legal Practitioners have accepted to participate as Discussants. These discussants are – Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN, Prof. Fabian Ajokwu SAN, Mrs. Abimbola Akeredolu SAN, Osaro Eghobamien SAN and an up-coming but vibrant and articulate Practitioner, Mrs. Christine Sijuwade. The lecture is expected to be annual event of our law firm in partial fulfilment of our company’s corporate social responsibility.
Also, a book titled “New Development in Law and Practise in Nigeria” conceived and published as a practise book, is being presented in honour of Mr. Dele Adesina SAN. The book examined a wide array of topical and contemporary areas of law and practice, which include but not limited to the following subjects; The Constitution; Taxation; The Legal Profession; Telecommunication; Energy and Power; Capital market, Legal framework for foreign investments; Defamation and The Internet, Money Laundering etc. The book is expected to make significant contribution to existing and future jurisprudence of the Nigerian Law, more particularly in the emerging areas of focus and attention by legal practitioners and non-legal practitioners in Nigeria.
Many accomplished and outstanding Legal Practitioners and Professors were contributors and writers on the subject mentioned above. The book is edited by Professor Adebambo Adewopo SAN of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. Dr. Wale Babalakin SAN, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the University of Lagos, is expected to present the book to the public.
The chairman of the event is Chief Folanke Solanke SAN, CON, FNIALS, the first lady Senior Advocate of Nigeria. Chief Folanke Solanke is a member of the honourable society of Gray’s Inn, London, England and a Notary Public.
The event takes place on Thursday, February 22, 2018. The Venue is Shell Hall, Muson Center, Marina, Lagos and time is 11:00 am prompt.
