Shehu Sani can’t be Recalled – Group
The Youth Movement for Credibility in Kaduna State has described the recent attempt to recall Senator Shehu Sani from the senate as an exercise in futility.
Coordinator of the group, Mustafa Aliyu, who addressed a press conference in Kaduna, said the attempt for the recall was clearly a political vendetta due to the rising political profile of Senator Sani.
“Senator Shehu Sani is clearly a fighter on the side of the defenceless masses of Kaduna State,” he said. The group said they knew those behind the attempt to recall Senator Sani and urged them to channel their resources to better things.
“The constitution does not envisage that a governor is in a position directly or indirectly to sack a senator, a member of the House of Representatives, or even a member of a House of Assembly. Therefore, Nasiru el- Rufa’i must be stopped, simple,” they stated.
