Rose Abi Briggs Responds to False Allegations of Misconduct by Cordelia U. Eke (Open Document)
My attention has been drawn to a protest allegedly written by our Branch Secretary, Mrs. Cordelia U. Eke, making the rounds in the media, which according to her is against the purported list of qualified members addressed to the ECNBA in which she had stated that there was a collation and conspiracy to send documents surreptitiously to ECNBA and therefore unconstitutional.

To put the records straight, preparation of financial records of members falls squarely within the extant duties and responsibilities of the Financial Secretary as clearly stated in the Third Schedule Part 1, of the 2015 NBA Constitution (Uniform Bye Laws for Branches) particularly paragraph 6© thereof.
The section of the law speaks for itself and moreover, the letter dated 25th April, 2018 from ECNBA addressed to “the Branch Chairman” shown to me was specific. I therefore wonder where the assertion, unnecessary scarecrow and over bearing nature are coming from, as my quarterly list of financial members is available for confirmation.
The duties of the Secretary are clearly stated in the Third Schedule Part 1, of the 2015 NBA Constitution (Uniform Bye Laws for Branches) particularly paragraph 3 does not include supervisory role or responsibility over the functions of the Financial Secretary.
Thank you.
ROSE ABI BRIGGS, Financial Secretary
