Yes, we live in a world that at times can be tormenting, uncaring, unforgiving, cruel and devoid of second chances, Easter offers us that hope and assurances that we can overcome the many difficulties and challenges that threaten to overwhelm us. The risen Christ, in his profound love, gives us second chances, new beginnings and a new life.
Even as we mark this year’s Easter celebration amidst lockdowns, fear and grief, occasioned by the global threats of Covid-19 pandemic, with faith in the resurrection power, we see emerging signs of hope and signs of new life.
And now that Christ has conquered death, let’s conquer the ultimate fear of this virus, the fear of death, with the reverberating faith the risen Christ radiates in us.
