Port Harcourt Bar, Rivers State Bench to Hold ICT Forum
The ongoing evolution of the legal profession in Nigeria is not restricted to the workings of the Bar alone. Of late, issues bordering on the impact of technology on the administration of justice in Nigeria have necessitated a reassessment of the working methods of the judiciary in the face of changing times.

It is in light of this that the Port Harcourt, Rivers State, branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in collaboration with the Rivers State judiciary is convening a stakeholders’ forum titled ‘THE JUDICIARY AND INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY.’
The forum, which is expected to bring together leading lights on both the Bar and the the Bench, will be held on Thursday, May 31st, 2018 at the NBA Port Harcourt Branch House.
It promises to be yet another opportunity, not just explore the feasibility of certain innovations that have been proposed to enhance the administration of justice (such as the question of the use of electronic evidence in court, etc), but also to tap into the growing opportunities the advent of digital technology presents to members of the Bar, not just in PH and it’s environs but across the country.
The stakeholders forum is expected to be begin at exactly 10.00am.
