PALU Opens Registration for its 10th Annual Conference
The Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU), the premier continental body for African Lawyers, cordially invites you to its 2019 Annual Conference, the leading platform for African Lawyers, bringing together distinguished Lawyers and Lawyers’ Associations as well as Law firms, Human Rights and Good Governance Professionals.
The theme for the conference is: “The Future of the Legal Profession in Africa: Effective Tools to Succeed in a Changing Environment”. This year’s annual event will take place in the city of Lome, the Togolese capital from the 17th to 20th of July, 2019
The Conference, will bring together over 400 of Africa’s leading lawyers to discuss matters germane to the practice of law, as well as economic, political and social development of the continent. It will provide a stimulating setting to meet new friends and renew business contacts, while learning on a variety of interesting topics and in-depth analysis by internationally renowned resource persons.
In the words of the PALU President, Mr. Emeka J.P. Obegolu, “As usual, we will have our counterparts from the African Union (AU), the Regional Economic Communities (RECs), the African Development bank (AfDB) and other multi-lateral development banks (MDBs) on the continent. We will also have participants from Europe and the United States of America (USA) who are interested in doing business and networking with lawyers from Africa.”

To become an ordinary member there is a $50 joining fee, and a yearly subscription fee of $50. Total of $100 for first registration. Life membership is a once-off payment of $1000.

Registration for the Law Week is still ongoing and multiple registration channels have been provided by the Law Week Committee towards a seamless and hassle-free registration experience for participants.
This includes payment at the banks or through POS at the Lagos NBA branch office. Participants can also download the registration form and pay through the payment gateway indicated on the branch website.
The registration rates are below:
- 1 – 7 years: N3,500
- 8 – 15 years: N5,000
- 16 – 19 years is 10,000
- 20 years and above is N15,000
- SANs and Benchers N25,000
