Olumide Akpata Condoles with NBA Katsina Branch
Senior Partner at Templars and immediate past Chairman of the NBA Section on Business Law has commiserated with the Katsina Bar on the passing of its former Chairman, Kabir Umar Yallilo. He also extended condolences to the family and prayed for fortitude for his loved ones and the Katsina Bar to bear the loss.
In a statement issued last night, he said ” It is with great sadness that I received the news of the demise of a man that was truly a legal icon and a pace setter- Kabir Umar Yallilo, the former chairman of NBA, Katsina Branch (2009-2011).
I express my deepest sympathies to the family, friends and colleagues of the late Kabir, on his passing during the late hours of Monday, 16 March 2020, after a brief illness. I know that many wished and prayed that Kabir would recover from this illness, but sadly, it led to his demise.
However, we can be confident that the late Kabir is in the bosom of the Almighty God and his good works will not be forgotten by us who are still on earth.
He further expressed how the loss of Kabir was the loss of a key member of the NBA as well as a sound legal practitioner. He continued “As a result of the late Kabir’s demise, I know that the entire NBA has lost a great legal practitioner, and his family, friends, and colleagues have also lost a kind and loving man who will be missed for years to come. I pray that that God will give everyone affected by the late Kabir’s demise the fortitude to bear this colossal loss.
The late Kabir’s contribution to the NBA will always be remembered and appreciated.”
