OLUMIDE AKPATA Commends Knowledge Sharing Session on Technology Law, Urges all Lagos Lawyers to Attend
Senior Partner at Templars and immediate past Chairman of the NBA Section on Business Law, Mr. Olumide Akpata, has extended felicitations to the Chairman and all members of the NBA Lagos Branch on the occasion of her monthly meeting taking place on 9th of March, 2020. He has also commended the Branch on the choice of topic and speaker for the knowledge sharing session to take place at the meeting.
In a statement issued this morning, Mr. Akpata said, “On behalf of my Partners and colleagues at Templars, I extend felicitations to the Chairman and members of the NBA Lagos Branch on their March 2020 monthly meeting. The topic to be discussed “Emerging Trends in Technology Law” is particularly an interesting and forward-looking one, and I commend the Lagos Branch for this initiative. Indeed, there is a need for the Bar to constantly evolve to meet up with emerging developments around the world, especially in the technology space. There is also the need to always seek to align various interests in different areas of law, especially among our young lawyers.”
I equally commend the choice of speaker for the session. Basil Udotai is the Chair of NBA-SBL Technology Law Committee and a foremost expert in Technology Law with whom I have collaborated closely over the years in developing this critical area of practice and in building capacity, particularly among our young lawyers, and I encourage all lawyers in the Lagos Branch to attend. I am delighted at the opportunities that this meeting will afford the lawyers of the Lagos Branch.
