MID-WEST BAR FORUM BRANCH CHAIRMEN AND REPRESENTATIVES REFUTE PUBLICATION BY FIVE OF THE FORUM’S MEMBERS CHALLENGING THE VALIDITY OF THE FORUM’S ELECTION OF ITS 2019-2021 EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AT THE FORUM’S MEETING AT AGBOR ON THE 21ST DAY OF DECEMBER 2019
The Members of the Mid-West Bar Forum, through their respective Branch Chairmen and Representatives, have refuted, and categorically labelled as false, the publication of five members of the Forum which sought to challenge the validity of the Forum’s Elections held on the 21st Day of December 2019 which had unanimously returned a new Executive Committee led by Chike Onyemenam, S.A.N. as the Forum’s Chairman.
In furtherance of their call on Members of the Forum to disregard the said five-man publication challenging the Elections, the Chairmen and Representatives of 12 out of the 14 branches from Edo and Delta States which make up the Mid-West Bar Forum have, by a publication signed by the Chairmen and Representatives of 12 branches, gone ahead to confirm and ratify as valid the said Elections.
The publication has come no more than a week after the Forum held its first Quarterly Meeting of the year at Auchi, Edo State, wherein its Members of the Forum, represented by the N.B.A. Branch Chairmen, Secretaries, past Chairmen and Secretaries and other individual members of the General Assembly unanimously passed a vote of absolute confidence in the Chike Onyemenam, S.A.N. led Executive Committee of the Forum for good governance, discipline, standing for the truth, entrenching democracy and display of a high sense of integrity in the conduct of the affairs of the Forum.
