Today marks the end of the two year tenure during which the Martin Ogunleye led Exco strove to fulfil the wonderful promises to the members of Lagos Branch of the NBA, the birth of a better bar.
Mr. Martin Ogunleye, Chairman of the branch, on behalf of his team, thank all those who supported their cause to serve the branch diligently within the two year period.
As part of the commitment to professional growth of its members, the outgoing Exco in the past one year organised 2 Law Weeks, 2 unforgettable Dinners and a ground breaking Oil & Gas Conference. The maiden edition of the Oil & Gas Conference which is assumed would be a year conference, attracted ICLE Certification and attendees earned CLE points. It is worthy of note that 15 young lawyers attended the conference free another 40 or more enjoyed 50% rebate on Registration. The branch also benefitted sponsorship when the Section of Business Law (SBL) granted a full sponsorship with accommodation to 20 young lawyers from Lagos Branch to attend it’s 2017 Conference. It’s indeed rewarding to be a member of the NBA Premier Branch.
In spite of having received nothing from the National Body in 2 years, it is to the credit of the branch as they’ve continued to grow financial as its account balances and assets have increased significantly over the past two years.
As the Annual General Meeting marks the last moment of this administration, it would be a good remembrance that all members of the branch now have access to meetings minute and vital information from the branch and about the association online 24/7 through the website and the branch whatsapp platform.
