LET’S PRESERVE THE FUTURE OF THE LEGAL PROFESSION, OKEY OHAGBA CHARGES MULAN AT NEC MEETING, SENDS GOODWILL
I write to heartily felicitate with the Prof. A. S. A. Adeleke led EXCO, Bar leaders and the entire members of the Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria (MULAN) on this occasion of your NEC meeting, holding today, Saturday, the 29th day of February, 2020 (6th Rajab, 1441 Ah) at the Conference Hall of 3 Star Hotel Dutse, Jigawa State.
The theme of the NEC Meeting; “Catalyzing The Attainment of Justice in Nigeria Through the Instrument of Shariah” is topical as it encapsulates certain jurisprudential challenges facing administration of justice in Nigeria. It is my belief that this meeting would rise, proffering practical solutions to these identified challenges.
As you deliberate at your meeting, I urge you to, most importantly, lend your voices to the alarming insecurity concerns and the growing debasement of Rule of Law in our polity and commit yourselves more to charting a positive path for the Legal Profession and our Nation Nigeria.
As a very revered body of lawyers, while you ponder on issues affecting your organization, I urge you again, to never relent in your strive at championing our unity and uplifting the integrity of the Bar. Let’s preserve the future of the Legal Profession in Nigeria by building the Bar of our dreams today.
Finally, COVID-19 is real! It is in Nigeria!!! Endeavour to apply the necessary safeguards and be SAFE for your family and for all of us. The Bar needs us all.
