A Lawyer is a Natural Leader – Arthur Obi Okafor, SAN
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Arthur Obi Okafor has called on all lawyers in Nigeria to take on the leadership challenge, not just in the political sphere but in all areas of human endeavour.

This is necessary, he says, because a lawyer’s role as a defender of the rule of law and a champion of public morality naturally places him or her on a pedestal that calls for leadership – a role which carries with it enormous challenges as well as opportunities.
Chief Okafor was speaking in an exclusive chat with Newswire Law & Events Magazine on the sidelines of the maiden dinner of the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (BOSAN) in Lagos.
Reacting to the speeches of both Dr. Christopher Kolade and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN during the event, Okafor described BOSAN as a complement – rather than a competitor – to the role of the Nigerian Bar Association and its various sections and bodies in safeguarding the interest of Nigerian lawyers (and sanctioning misconduct amongst them), as well as positioning the legal profession as a veritable tool in the quest for social justice and the protection of the fundamental human rights of all Nigerians.
