Kwara Urges EFCC to Help Recover ‘Looted’ Funds

Kwara State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Salman

Jawondo yesterday urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to help the state in the recovery of its funds and assets allegedly looted by corrupt individuals.

He spoke when he led a delegation of the Ministry of Justice on a visit to the Ilorin office of the commission.

The commissioner said:  “We know that the EFCC is a very delicate institution.  It needs the support of every agency to survive. The Ministry of Justice is on ground to give you maximum support. We have seen the number of convictions and recoveries made in this office. We are here to identify with you.”

EFCC Zonal Head Kazeem Oseni thanked the delegation.

He said his office was ready to assist the state government.
