Killers of Ikorodu Pastor, Woman, Child Arrested
Four suspects involved in the gruesome killing of a Redeem Pastor, a mother and her son in Ikorodu area , at different dates, have been arrested by the police in Lagos.
The state Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, disclosed this while parading 39 suspected criminals alleged to be terrorizing the state at the Police Command headquarters, Ikeja, Lagos.
He also said that twelve suspects were arrested for cult- related crimes, twenty suspects for armed robbery and three suspects for kidnapping while four were arrested for murder.
Among the suspects, according to him, were Ibrahim Anifowoshe and Uche Igwe, who murdered a Redeemed Pastor called Victor in Ikorodu on the 25th of November.
Two other suspects , Abdulrasaq Yahaya and Abubakar Tenimu, who allegedly murdered one Beatrice and her son, David Alaba, in Ikorodu area of Lagos, were also paraded .
It was gathered that during a covert investigation by detectives, Abdulrasaq Yahaya and Abubakar Tenimu were arrested in Ikorodu in connection with the crime while the Nokia phone and SIM card of the deceased which was stolen from the scene was recovered from them. Both suspects are currently assisting the police in their investigation.
Also, based on credible intelligence report, the police also recovered a 20 feet container which had some baggage of powdery substance suspected to be hard drug. The suspected items were immediately recovered for further investigation.
Analysis of the substance from Force Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department, FCIID, Alagbon revealed that it was Benzoylecgonine (cocaine) with street value of N250, 000.
Among the arms recovered is AK 47 riffle, one toy gun, 21 locally- made single barrel pistol, 9 locally made double barrel pistol and 7- locally made single barrel long gun.
Also recovered were two magazines, 45 rounds of AK ammunitions, one expended cartridge, 17 live expended cartridge, five Barreta pistol ammunitions and one LAR rifle ammunition.
