Just In: COVID-19: UK Returnees in Isolation, Decry Absence of NCDC Officials {Video}
256 Nigerians who were airlifted from the United Kingdom are calling on the Minister for Health and other officials to come to their aid.
They complained of being dumped at the isolation centre since their return to the country.
The returnees made their displeasures known through a video made available to Newswire Law and Events Magazine by one of them. they said their ordeals started the day they landed in the country and were stranded at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos for hours with no attention from government officials.
According to them, “The treatment meted on us was as if we are not citizen of this country.
“Even the UK that we were coming from, they treated us like citizen of that country. Our officials are now treating us in our own country as if we are foreigners.
“No official has come to see us except you”, one of them said.
We are supposed to go back to our homes today but even the results of the test we haven’t seen.
