‘Fake’ Madman Arrested with Toy Gun
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a suspected fake madman for being in possession of a toy gun.

The suspect, Johnson Oyahere 35, was alleged to be in possession of a black plastic, shaped in the form of a Berretta Pistol.
Oyahere was arrested along Eko Bridge, Lagos metropolis, after some policemen, attached to Rapid Response Squad (RRS), swooped on him after suspecting that he was armed.
The man, who was exhibiting signs of being mentally unstable, said that he found the toy gun in a dustbin and took it. According to him, since he found it, he had been playing with it.
When asked his age, he replied 15 years old. He later told our correspondent that he is an indigene of Edo State, adding: “I cannot remember when I came to Lagos State.”
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, said: “The officers took a step further by going after the man. When he saw the policemen approaching, he became disorganized. The officers noticed he was trying to hide an object in his trouser pocket. Before you could say Jack Robison, he started to walk hurriedly away, pretending to be mentally unstable. When the team arrested and searched him; the toy pistol was found on him.”
Imohimi advised members of the public to be vigilant as all persons who appear to be mad, might not actually be.
He added: “There are mad people these days, going around committing crime.”
