ECNBA Releases NBA 2018 Eligible Voters List
Barely Eight Weeks to the end of the tenure of the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Abubakar Balarabe Mahmoud (SAN), the issue of his successor is now on the front burner.
This time around, the position of NBA President has been zoned to the Eastern Bar Forum (EBF) of the association in accordance with the internal zoning convention arrangement of the NBA.
To this end, the ECNBA hereby releases the final eligible voters list for the purpose of the 2018 NBA National Officers elections coming up between the hours of 11:59 pm on Friday, 27th July, 2018 and 11:59pm of, Saturday, 28th July, 2018 in accordance with Article 2.3(d) of the Second Schedule of the Constitution of the Nigerian Bar Association 2015.
For complaints on this final published Voters List members are advised to seek clarification from their branches to determine their status. However, members may be required to supply their enrolment numbers, telephone numbers and email addresses during a verification and accreditation exercise to be carried out prior to election as envisaged in Para H in the Guidelines issued.
The ECNBA exercised maximum care in ensuring that no eligible legal practitioner qualified to vote as prescribed by the Constitution is disenfranchised. The Committee therefore solicits for the cooperation of all members of the Bar in its commitment to ensure that this election is credible, free and fair.
