Delta gets New Presidents, Members of Area, District Customary Courts
The President, Delta State Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Stella Ogene, has sworn in four presidents and four members of area and district customary courts at the headquarters of the Court in Asaba.
At the swearing-in ceremony, Justice Ogene warned the new appointees to avoid delay of justice delivery and aiding corruption as anyone caught would be fired.
She said: “You are expected to be diligent, honest, disciplined, and above all, you must have the fear of God in the discharge of your duties. She urged them to get acquainted with the customary laws in their areas of designation and also procure copies of Delta State Customary Laws and Customary Court Rules contained in the 2006 Laws of Delta State.
In his response, Victor Ugboko, one of the appointees, pledged that they will discharge their duties diligently.
