Community Leader Arraigned over Alleged Threat to set Palace Ablaze
A community leader at Isheri Olofin in Alimosho area of Lagos, Shamsideen Adebimpe, 67, has been arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate Court for allegedly threatening to burn down the Palace of Oni Isheri of Isheri Kingdom, Oba Wahab Balogun and publishing false news against him.

The police also alleged that the accused mobilized hoodlums to sing inciting songs and rained abuses on Oba Balogun around his palace with intent to cause breach of peace in the Isheri Olofin Kingdom.
The arrest of the accused was ordered by the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG in charge of Zone 2 Command, Lagos following a complaint by Oba Balogun.
Shamsideen was charged before an Igbosere Magistrate Court on a six-count charge bordering on publication of false story in newspapers, inciting hoodlums with intent to cause breach of peace and threatening to burn down Oba Palace.
Police Counsel, S. Molo told the court in charge No A/05/2018 that the accused committed the offence between June 2012 and September 2017 at Isheri Olofin Kingdom, Alimosho LGA.
Molo told the court that the accused published false story against Oba Balogun, incited hoodlums to sing inciting songs against him and also threatened to burn down his palace with intent to cause breach of peace.
He further said that the accused, without lawful excuse disobeyed the lawful Judgement of Justice,I.B Lawal Akapo in suit No. ID/488/80,Oba Wahab Ayinde Balogun versus Ishua Olorunfumi and others delivered on 15 May, 2012 by trespassing and illegally selling the land of Isheri Olofin Kingdom.
The accused however pleaded not guilty to the charge and Chief Magistrate O.O. Oshin granted him bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Oshin adjourned the case till 14 February, 2018 for mention.
