Buhari, Adeboye Meet at State House
President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday met with the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
The agenda of the meeting, which held at the State House, Abuja, was not made public.
Adeboye’s visit came in the wake of an outcry by religious organisations and their leaders, especially of the Christian faith, against some clauses in the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020.
Adeboye’s visit was however not the first. He was one of the very few persons who had access to President Buhari in London in 2017, while the President was on medical vacation.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) and Chief of Staff (CoS) to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, were at the President’s parley with Adeboye, which lasted for about an hour.
