Arthur Obi Okafor SAN Mourns Demise of Chief Francis Egele SAN
….. Condoles Family, NBA and the People of Bayelsa.
It is with utmost shock that I have received the sad news of the untimely death of Chief Francis Egele SAN, a onetime Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Bayelsa State, who passed on to eternal glory in the early hours of today, after a brief illness.
It is quiet painfully, that only just last Sunday, Chief Egele held a Thanksgiving service to appreciate God and today, he is no more. In his over three decades in the legal profession, the learned silk has been a progressive and highly principled professional, who believed strongly in the use of the instrumentality of the law to resolve issues.
My heart goes to members of his family, the NBA in Bayelsa State and the good people who will no doubt miss his positive influence. May the Almighty grant him eternal rest.
