Eid-ul-Fitr Message: Okey Ohagba Felicitates Muslim Lawyers, Urges Them to Pray Against COVID-19 and Looming Economic Crunch
As Muslims world over, celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr today, it’s my pleasure to felicitate with our Muslim Colleagues as they mark the end of the sacred month of Ramadan.
Eid is a time to reflect on the days of fasting and supplication to Allah. It is a time to recommit to values of gratitude, compassion, and generosity. Above all, Eid affords that special opportunity to reunite, cheer and commune with family, friends and relatives.
It is no longer news that this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr will be without the usual elaborate festivities, no thanks to the deadly Covid-19 Pandemic.
Therefore, while you savour the season with family and friends, I urge you to pray more fervently that we be saved from this virus. Pray for our unity in diversity, peace and prosperity of our country Nigeria. Pray, for we are in trying times; while the coronavirus wages a war on humanity, insecurity is gradually eating into the very fabric of our dear Nation, unemployment and economic crunch looms.
Finally, may Allah bring you joy, happiness, peace and prosperity on this blessed occasion.
