“Chief Ajomale Was A Remarkable Role Model” – Olumide Akpata Mourns Former Body of Benchers Chair
Senior Partner at Templars and immediate past Chairman of the NBA Section of Business Law, Mr. Olumide Akpata has expressed sadness over the death of Chief M. A. Ajomale, former Chairman of the Body of Benchers. In a statement issued yesterday, he said:
“I commiserate with the family, friends and loved ones of Chief M. A. Ajomale, Life Bencher and former Chairman of the Body of Benchers. While he lived, Chief Ajomale, was a remarkable role model in the legal profession. He was a fine gentleman who not only had a clear understanding of law but was also a go-to person on business law matters having served as General Counsel of Union Bank of Nigeria PLC. He was also a respected member of the NBA Lagos Branch, whose sagely advice and guidance will be sorely missed.
Death is always hardest on the ones left behind. As such, I pray for divine comfort and fortitude for his friends, family and loved ones. May He also comfort members of the Body of Benchers, NBA Lagos branch and indeed the entire NBA for this loss. I pray for repose for the soul of Chief Ajomale in the bosom of the Almighty God”.
With sincere sympathy,
OLUMIDE AKPATA
