NBA Akure Suspends Monthly General Meetings & YLF Law Week Due to COVID-19
The spread and deadly effect of corona virus in our immediate environment is no longer news. Health authorities have advised that staying away from crowded places and gatherings is one of the surest way of preventing spread of this virus.
The Executives of NBA Akure branch held an emergency meeting on Friday 20th March 2020. After thorough deliberations and after placing calls to stakeholders and leaders of the Bar, it was agreed that all activities of the branch involving gathering of members be suspended. This suspension affects the monthly general meeting of Thursday 26th March, 2)20. It also affects the Young Lawyers’ Forum Law Week slated for 1st-3rd April, 2020. It is to be noted that the YLF Law Week is not outrightly cancelled as the same shall hold on a latter date to be announced as soon as situation improves.
Members of our dear branch are advised to take necessary and adequate preventive measures in their individual offices.
