Oladotun Hassan Wishes Members of the Bar Happy New Year: Seeks Credible and Robust Synergy Ahead of the NBA 2020 Election.
In preparation for the new decade starting from the new year 2020, the bar has been confronted with various hydra headed challenges coupled with the dearth of leadership at the nation’s helms of affairs, consequently nosediving rule of law and order into oblivion of precipe.
It is in light of the clarion call for leadership and service as the National Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association 2020 elections by friends and Associates at the bar earlier yielded to by Aare Oladotun Hassan, Assistant Secretary, NBA Epe Branch and Chairman, Eti-Osa Bar Forum (Formerly Lekki Forum); a core bar man with an uncommon heart of service, and out of his spirit of love and existing qualitative friendship with a distinguished like minds vying for the same of office, has decided to step forward to the office of the Assistant Publicity Secretary at the forthcoming election.
According to Oladotun Hassan he said in his new year message that- “I welcome all members of the Nigerian Bar Association to the 2020, while praying for a better fulfilling year filled with grace and abundant blessings.
I am extremely concerned in the salvage and survival of the Nigerian nation from imminent total collapse of the tripod ethos of democracy: rule of law, good governance and accountability, which is fast eroding into oblivion.
He further seeks for a stronger Synergy among all lawyers, irrespective of wider lacunas and perceived differences in our religion, region and ideology, we must strike a balance between unity and peace at the bar, for this will Herald a new greater bar vision 2020 as espoused in my vision for repositioning of the bar.
However, for sacrifice and service to the NBA, i have decided to work hand-in-hand with my brother and colleague, to move the bar forward to a greater heights. Hence the need to consider my new decision in concert with my associates and colleagues to consolidate on mutual experiences towards a seamless integration of ideas and providing purposeful leadership towards managing the National Secretariat’s Publicity Bureau.
This is done out the urgent need to rekindle the radical change and dexterity in the bar for what it is renowned for as the vanguard voice of the people.
