Deji Sasegbon Memorial Book Launch Holds Today in Lagos
Legal practitioners of all stripes – Justices of the Higher and Lower Bench, Attorneys-General of the Federation and its 36 States, Senior Advocates of Nigeria, all Members of The Bar , Law firms, corporate organizations, civil society groups, government MDAs concerned with the administration of justice in Nigeria – are cordially invited to the Deji Sasegbon Esq,SAN Memorial Book Launch, slated for Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the Agip Hall of the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos, Nigeria at 1.00 pm.

His Excellency, the Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, is expected to be the Special Guest of Honour at the occasion.
Published in 7 volumes, this authoritative, finely-researched publication is the definitive encyclopedia of legal definitions of Nigerian law. With its repertoire of over 150, 000 terms, it can be said to be the most comprehensive law dictionary ever published in Nigeria.
This latest tour de force from the illustrious stable of DSC Publications was conceived by the prodigious mind of the late legal luminary, Deji Sasegbon Esq, SAN. Sasegbon’s Judicial Dictionary of Nigerian Law (SJD for short) is a complete rendering of the corpus of Nigerian legal definitions in the language of the Courts, and in particular the cases of Superior Courts. The finalisation of this project was managed by his widow, Mrs. Oge Sasegbon and the Deputy Editor in Chief Mr Ehi Esoimeme who led the team of editors at DSC Publications. SJD comprises of historical and modern Nigerian cases up to 2018, as well as primary and subsidiary legislation. Its definite distinctions between key words and phrases – enables the reader to gain a full and contextual understanding of definitions, in addition to examining the effect of certain issues in the legal field.
The hallmark of Sasegbon’s Judicial Dictionary of Nigerian Law is Volume 7, which comprises of definitions of terms and phrases of Nigerian jurisprudence from the mind of the Learned Silk himself, Deji Sasegbon, SAN.
