You don’t Postpone Elections on Election Day – By Awunah Pius Terwase
In 2015, during President Jonathan’s government, election was shifted when there were several days remaining before the actual dates given for the elections, to prevent people who wanted to travel to other places and cast their votes from doing so.

The postponement of the 2019 general elections that came in the early hours of a day meant for the presidential and national assembly elections is an obvious indication of fear by the ruling party.
Some may say it is not new and Nigerians shouldn’t be complaining but they have to know that this very government promised us change and should be doing things differently.
The decision taken by INEC may prevent some people from casting their votes. Looking at the hardship in place, some people who have already gone to other places to vote, will come back and may not be able to travel again next Saturday for the elections.
