Arthur Obi Okafor Commiserates with Family and Friends of Abdulhameed Ibrahim on His Untimely Demise
It is with utmost shock that I received the painful news of the untimely demise of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Gombe State, Mr. Abdulhameed Ibrahim, who passed on at 58, yesterday afternoon at a hospital in India, where he went for a medical follow up.
The untimely death of the learned Attorney General has come as a rude shock to us, members of the noble profession. It has no doubt created a vacuum in Gombe State as he was a humble, dedicated and highly principled lawyer, who gave his best to the profession and enthronement of justice in the society.
As mortals, we cannot question the will of the Almighty, for death is the ultimate end of every living being. It is our sincere prayers that the Almighty forgive and have mercy on him, and make his reception honourable.
I extend my deepest sympathies to his family, friends, relatives, the people of Gombe state and all the members of our noble profession. May his gentle soul rest in peace and may Jannatul Firdaus be his final abode.
