Arthur Obi Okafor SAN Laments Death of Amechi Onumajulu, Esq., Condoles with Owerri Branch, Family
It is with utmost shock and disbelief that I received the untimely demise of Amechi A. Onumajulu Esq who passed on to eternal glory in the early hours of last Tuesday, following a protracted illness. Our late colleague, a committed human rights activist was a patriot who dedicated his life to the protection of the vulnerable in our society and used the instrumentality of the law to fight for the defence of their rights.
A man of impeccable character, the late Onumajulu brought his passion to bear in his professional calling as a legal practitioner and maintained an excellent relationship with colleagues in his local branch and the Nigerian Bar Association as a whole.
My sincere condolences go his immediate family members and the Owerri branch of our noble association. Though he left at a time we needed him most, he has gone to a better place to rest, till we meet again. I pray the Almighty to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
