New Year Message: Let’s Build a Strong and United Bar – Okafor, SAN
As we celebrate the dawn of a new year, I join all Nigerians, especially members of our noble association; the Nigerian Bar Association in thanking the Almighty God for the gift of life, health and grace to surmount the challenges of the out-gone year.
The year 2017 was an eventful year, one which our organisation was called to duty like never before since the inception of our constitutional democracy in 1999 to defend the independence and integrity of the judiciary as the last hope for the common man.
As we enter the year 2018, it is my strong belief that the Bar will be more proactive, focused, people oriented and actively take up the challenge of promoting constitutional democracy. I urge us all, as members of this great organisation to join hands in building a strong, united and virile NBA, an organisation that will make the welfare of its members a top priority.
May the year 2018 fill our households with joy, happiness, good health and prosperity..
