Osinbajo, Onnoghen, Solanke, Kolade and over 200 Senior Advocates to grace BOSAN
For the very first time, the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (BOSAN) with over 350 members, will come together in Lagos to hold its maiden Dinner on the 11th of November 2017, at the Grand Ballroom Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The dinner is the first initiative, afterward, a lecture session titled: ‘Leadership’ will be delivered by an elder statesman and a former Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr. Christopher Kolade, CON
According to the BOSAN Secretary, Mr. Seyi Sowemimo SAN, one of the major reasons for the dinner is to welcome new silks and to interact with judges.
The BOSAN leadership Fund Committee headed by Chief Felix Fagbohungbe, SAN as chairman and Abimbola Ibironke Akeredolu SAN, as Secretary, responsible for accessing and utilizing the fund of the association has three other sub committees: The Dinner Sub-Committee headed by Damian D. Dodo SAN as chairman and Paul Usoro SAN as his Vice.
The event is expected to be graced with over 200 learned silks and other dignitaries of the legal profession including the vice president of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo who himself is a learned silk, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter S. Nkanu Onnoghen and the first female silk, Chief Mrs Folake Solanke, SAN
“This is not the first time we are coming together to have a get together, but this is the first time we are letting it to the general public,” Usoro said.
The dinner will welcome the newly inducted members of the Inner Bar into the Body. “Of course, once you have been elevated to the rank of a Senior Advocate you are automatically a member of BOSAN. But this is the first time we shall be welcoming new Silk into BOSAN, it has never happened before now,” he said.
The dinner is the first of its kind, and with great expectations.
The Vice Chairman of the Dinner Sub-Committee, Paul Usoro SAN disclosed that spouses of Senior Advocates will be present in the occasion as the cocktail/dinner is regarded strictly as a family affairs.
“On the morning of the Dinner, BOSAN will be having its quarterly meeting in which pertinent issues concerning the nation and the legal profession will be discussed,” the body concluded.
