2019 NBA Lagos Election: Ifeoma Ben – An Accomplished Young Legal Professional
Ifeoma Ben is an accomplished Law Professional with experience in presenting and delivering solutions and services in the legal field, a results driven professional who have worked well in breaking down the barriers between the functions and the business and delivering momentum with greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Ifeoma attended Fairchild Nursery and Primary Owerri where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate and proceeded to Owerri Girls Secondary School where she obtained her West African Examination Certificate.
She holds a Masters Degree in Law from the University of Lagos, Akoka and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Imo State University, Owerri. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012.
Prior to obtaining a Law Degree, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Studies from the University of Calabar. She did her National Youth Service in Gombe State and in addition to serving her fatherland, she also served as the Welfare Officer of Catholic Corps Members in Gombe State and Jos Province respectively.
She is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK, a Graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria and the Nigerian Institute of Management respectively. Ifeoma is a Writer, Content Creator, Public Speaker, among other talents.
Ifeoma started her legal career in Ade Atanda and Co in 2013 where she exemplified excellent performance which earned her promotions in the Firm. In July 2016, she joined Vine Law Firm and rendered her services diligently until March 2019 when she disengaged from the Firm.
Ifeoma currently works with the Firm of Kevin Martin Ogwemoh Legal where she is putting the best efforts and adding value to the Firm.
As a very active member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Lagos Branch, Ifeoma has contributed and still contributes to the growth of the Association in diverse ways. Ifeoma is the Assistant Secretary of the Human Rights Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association Lagos Branch (2017-2019) and has worked assiduously in achieving the objectives of the Committee in decongesting the Prisons. She offers pro bono services to prison inmates and has assisted in setting many Prisoners free. She is currently serving as a member of the 2019 Law Week Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, Lagos Branch.
She is also a member of the National Association of Catholic Lawyers where she has served in various leadership capacities.
Ifeoma has leadership experience and is passionate about helping to strengthen the NBA Lagos Secretariat by offering her services as Assistant Secretary.
