Ifeanyi Ubah, the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, was allowed on Thursday to fly the Young Progressives Party (YPP) banner during the next governorship election in Anambra State.
During its meeting in Abuja, the YPP’s national leadership presented Ubah with a clearance certificate.
Speaking to reporters after receiving the certificate, Ubah reiterated that the present security situation in the South East will not impede the conduct of the Governorship election, which the Independent National Electoral Commission has been scheduled for November of this year (INEC).

He expressed optimism that the YPP would emerge victorious, saying that other political parties do not have the interest of Anambra State at heart. The Anambra South lawmaker also debunked rumors that the YPP is allegedly behind the crisis bedeviling the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the state.
